Regions

The CRC operates at sites within all states and territories, apart from the Northern Territory.  Our Head office is in Canberra.  A second major administrative node is in Adelaide, where our Uptake Program is managed.    Our Terrestrial Program is managed out of the Vertebrate Pest Research Unit of the NSW Department of Primary Industries at Orange, NSW.  Our Freshwater Program is managed from the Snobs Creek fisheries research centre of the Victorian Department of Primary Industries.

We conduct research, undertake trials, work with local land management agencies and other stakeholders at many other sites around the country.  Of major importance to our studies are the Arthur Rylah Institute of the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment, the Robert Wicks Pest Animal Research Centre of the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water.

We have set up several project sites around Australia which aim to integrate our research with demonstration of products and improved management strategies.  At these sites we work with our CRC participants to share knowledge with land management stakeholders.

Major demonstration sites are:

We have also been working  through the National Invasive Animals Collaborative Work Plan 2005-2007 (between the Invasive Animals CRC and the National Land and Water Resources Audit of the Australian Government's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) to map the distribution and abundance of high profile invasive animals across the country.

High resolution copies of the maps may be obtained by contacting the Audit - visit the website:  http://adl.brs.gov.au/anrdl/php/

or contact the NLWRA by email at:
