The Invasive Animals CRC has four research program areas:

• Detection and Prevention
  Improved risk management, early warning systems, national action plans, bio-economics, ecological solutions, decision support systems
• Terrestrial Products and Strategies
  Bait and toxin development, fertility control, emerging solutions such as attractants and molecular techniques.
• Freshwater Products and Strategies
  Daughterless technologies, biocides, pheromone trapping, environmental manipulation.
• Uptake of Products and Strategies
  Demonstration sites, community dialogue, commercialisation, IA CRC Offshore.
• Education program
  Balanced scientist program, education and training initiatives (primary and secondary school resources, vocational education and post-graduate training), the Pest Portal (www.feral.org.au)
